Artist InformationBiography · MusingsNow based in New York City, Colleen Lodge is an artist with roots in Pennsylvania. She received a B.F.A. in Illustration with a minor in Native American Indian Studies from the Maryland Institute College of Art. She keeps current in the arts and sciences by taking Masters courses and attending conferences. Colleen's Fine Art reflects her personal experience with nature. She has exhibited and won awards from various galleries, museums and art competitions in Ireland and the United States. Her work has been recognized through International and State artist-in-residencies, fellowships and grants. In addition she has also created paintings found in: private and corporate collections in Canada and the United States. Her illustrations have been published in various scientific journals, textbooks, children's books, and magazines. Her commercial art has also been featured in: museum and zoo exhibits and signage, institutional and legal presentations, instruction manuals, greeting cards and novelty products. Her professional affiliations include: The Guild of Natural Scientific Illustrators, The Equine Art Guild and Queens Council on the Arts. Colleen also volunteers for animal rehabilitation and conservation organizations. |
